Zinedine Zidane, the legendary French footballer and Alpine ambassador, had an exciting day in Madrid with Alpine Racing’s drivers, including F1 duo Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, to reflect on the 2023 racing season.
Bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience from his esteemed football career to his ambassadorial role, Zidane is actively involved in Alpine’s Company Social Accountability (CSR) programmes. These include the Rac(H)er and Concours Excellence Mecanique (CEMA) initiatives, which aim to promote diversity, equality, and excellence within Alpine.
The day featured a special tour of Real Madrid CF’s Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and trophy lined museum, a place where Zidane has left his mark with numerous honors during his time as a player and a manager.
Following the stadium tour, Zidane, along with Esteban, Pierre, Alpines younger drivers, and the two 2023 CEMA placement winners, enjoyed a karting match and a friendly football game. Zidane even had the opportunity to drive an electric go-kart and receive guidance from some of Alpine’s Rac(H)er drivers.
Zinedine Zidane expressed his excitement and pride in hosting the Alpine family in Madrid, sharing his sport and personal experiences to support Alpine’s important programmes. Julian Rouse, Intervening time Carrying Director, also expressed his appreciation for Zidane’s engagement in Alpine’s CSR initiatives.
