The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is on a mission to protect the public from unreasonable risks of injury or death associated with a wide variety of consumer products. Every year, the nation faces over $1 trillion in costs from deaths, injuries, and property damage related to consumer product incidents. Thanks to CPSC’s efforts, the rate of injuries linked to consumer products has seen a significant decrease over the past 50 years.
Federal law strictly prohibits the sale of products subject to a Commission-ordered recall or a voluntary recall conducted in coordination with the CPSC.
