Check out the newest outfit, some fresh faces, and more in the behind-the-scenes featurette for Agatha: Darkhold Diaries! The video gives us a quick look at the upcoming series and reveals a few glimpses of what’s to come. What can we can expect when the series premieres in the fall of 2024?
“I started talking to Marvel about developing something else, so we had early conversations about ‘what could that be?’… Everything I pitched involved a story about Agatha,” says head writer/executive producer Jac Shaeffer in the video. “I remember Kevin saying to me, ‘We really should think about a real Agatha show,’ and I was like, ‘Where do I sign for that job?'”
Agatha: Darkhold Diaries follows the adventures of fan-favorite villain Agatha Harkness, who made her debut in WandaVision. Kathryn Hahn, who plays Agatha, was apparently floored by the positive response to her character and is thrilled to be continuing the journey in a show of her own.
The series also boasts a star-studded cast, including Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, and Okwui Okpokwasili. Emma Caulfield and Debra Jo Rupp will also be reprising their WandaVision roles.
While we don’t know much about the show just yet, we can’t wait to see all the magic and mischief that Agatha has in store for us!
