It is with great sadness that we share the news of Thomas Augsberger’s passing. The German-born film producer and media consultant died Tuesday at his Los Angeles home at the age of 60. No cause of death has been released.
Thomas Augsberger lived a remarkable life. Born in Munich, Germany in 1963, he pursued a diverse array of interests throughout his unconventional career. From being trained as an opera singer to modeling, then becoming an attorney and transitioning into producing entertainment, Augsberger certainly led an exciting life.
In 2002, he founded Eden Rock Media, a production outfit, and consulting company. Through this banner, he worked on notable projects such as the Anthony Hopkins film “Solace” (2016), the horror-comedy “Tucker & Dale vs. Evil” (2011), as well as “Incident at Loch Ness” (2004) and “Mr. Brooks” (2007).
Most recently, Augsberger was involved in the TV series “Professionals” (2021) and “Spy City.” His creative contributions and leadership will be greatly missed in the industry.
In addition to Eden Rock Media, Augsberger was associated with several other ventures, showcasing his breadth of expertise in the entertainment world. His influence extended to board positions and partnerships within well-respected organizations.
