Even though they haven’t reached their one-year anniversary, T.J. Holmes admits that he tends to emotionally check out during arguments with girlfriend and former colleague Amy Robach.
However, Holmes insists that they don’t argue; instead, they have “hiccups” stemming from disagreements.
On a recent episode of their podcast, ‘Amy & T.J.’, the news anchor confessed that he doesn’t engage in yelling or name-calling during disagreements but rather emotionally checks out to clear his mind before working through the issue with Robach.
Holmes also revealed that he has to work through the argument rather than expecting Robach to apologize immediately.
On the other hand, Robach takes her time to apologize, which frustrates Holmes. The delay in her apology only exacerbates the issue.
The couple recently debuted their podcast, using it as a platform to address their controversies from the past year, including the news of their secret relationship, which led to speculation of infidelity due to their legal marriages to others at the time.
However, both Holmes and Robach have since finalized their divorces, clearing the path for their current relationship.
