Having some issues with players is always normal, especially when you’ve got someone passionate like Draymond Green who sometimes takes his intensity a little too far. And while I can understand how Draymond’s behaviors were not intended to cause harm, they stepped outside the boundaries we’ve set for our players,” stated head coach Steve Kerr. “Draymond needs to understand that the values of sportsmanship and respect should be the backbone of a winning team, and player conduct cannot be taken for granted.”
As with much respect as Kerr has for Green as an athlete, and personal growth as an individual, one thing Kerr has always been able to stick by, is the rules set in place particularly because of the respect and discipline instilled a well-functioning team and a level playing field.
