Welcome to the U.S. CPSC
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is on a mission to protect the public from unreasonable danger of injury or death linked to the use of a wide variety of consumer products. Each year, product-related incidents result in deaths, injuries, and property damage costing the country over $1 trillion. Thanks to CPSC’s efforts, there has been a reduction in the rate of injuries associated with consumer products over the past 50 years.
Federal law prohibits anyone from selling products subject to a Commission ordered recall or a voluntary recall conducted in consultation with the CPSC.
