Former ‘Basketball Wives’ star Royce Reed has apparently dodged a five-year jail sentence after facing charges of third-degree felony child neglect. Reed was arrested and charged back on March 10, 2022, and pleaded not guilty a few days later.
According to The Shade Room, Reed turned herself in to Florida authorities, and it was alleged that her minor child had a history of inappropriate sexual conduct with other minors. This came to a head when her child allegedly compelled a minor to carry out sexual acts on him on two separate occasions.

Reed’s child reportedly told authorities that he forced the minor to “masturbate” him because he “was upset” at the minor. It was also reported that the two children were in Reed’s home during both alleged events, and Reed’s son admitted that “anger triggers him into acting out sexually.”
After the alleged events, Reed’s child was instructed not to have contact with minors “2 or more years younger than him.” When he allegedly disobeyed this instruction, Reed was charged with third-degree felony child neglect.
The next day, Reed accused Howard of “pretending” to be a parent.
Reed later entered The Shade Room’s comment section to reveal that her child’s alleged actions occurred at Howard’s home. Furthermore, Reed claimed that Howard referred to their son as “gay” for not participating in sex.
At the time, Reed also accused Howard of being “evil” and trying to make her the “matriarch” of his “polygamy mission.”
