Reviving the Arcade Scene: Virtua Fighter 3tb Goes Online

Check it out, everyone! The classic ’90s game Virtua Fighter 3tb is making a comeback in Japan’s video game centers. Sega has announced the release of an upgraded version called Virtua Fighter 3tb Online, coming on November 28, 2023. The best part? This new version features online battles, along with updated balancing and new abilities! Thanks to Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown’s innovation, 3tb Online lets players take on opponents across Japan. Players can also show off their names and records on screen and edit and view them on the official site using Aime cards. For those who are unfamiliar, Virtua Fighter 3tb, introduced in 1997 as an arcade game, featured a three-on-three team battle mode as the default state. While this enhanced version focuses on satisfying Japanese fans of the earlier entries in the series, there’s no word yet on whether Virtua Fighter 3tb will make its way beyond Japan or to home consoles. Check out the new trailer to see the new features in action and get a glimpse of the playable lineup. Whether or not this new version makes its way to international markets, it’s exciting to see classic games getting the love they deserve!
