Today in Abu Dhabi, Red Bull had a familiar face and a world champion testing for them. Sergio Pérez completed 117 laps (4th fastest) in his car, while Jake Dennis, the Formula E champion and Red Bull development driver, got in a bit more (124 laps, 13th fastest).
Speaking of Pirelli tire testing, Sergio Pérez said it was “a very productive day, as there was a lot to learn” about his Red Bull, despite appearances.
When asked if tests like this could have had an impact on his season if they were allowed in the middle of the year, Perez replied that his journey would have been “very different.”
Jake Dennis, the Milton Keynes simulator driver, was clearly coming out of the young driver tests with a huge smile on his face!
