Welcome to the U.S. CPSC
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is on a mission to protect the general public from unnecessary danger of injury or death caused by the use of a wide variety of consumer products. Every year, the nation faces more than $1 trillion in costs related to deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product-related incidents. Thanks to the CPSC’s efforts, there has been a significant decrease in the rate of injuries associated with consumer products over the past five decades.
It’s important to note that federal law prohibits the sale of products subject to a Commission ordered recall or a voluntary recall conducted in coordination with the CPSC.
