Over the weekend, Moneybagg Yo found himself in an awkward situation when a woman, posing as a fan, served him with legal papers in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon during a sign signing event in support of his new brand name, Del Dia Tequila at an alcohol shop.
In a now-viral video, Moneybagg Yo can be seen interacting with fans before a woman, disguised as a fan, approached him to sign a bottle, but instead handed him legal documents, saying, “You’ve been served.” The rapper’s reaction was one of confusion and disbelief, as the woman walked away, leaving him in shock.
Information About The Lawsuit
The Shade Room obtained court documents showing that Affiliate Nation is suing Moneybagg Yo for breaching a contract. According to the lawsuit, the rapper received a deposit to perform at the 1st Annual Summer Fest in Baton Rouge two years ago and was supposed to receive the rest of the money after the performance. However, he allegedly abandoned the event to sign with a different promoter for another show, never fulfilling the promise to reschedule the Baton Rouge performance. Affiliate Nation is seeking reasonable damages, refund of the deposit, and coverage of attorney’s fees.
