Men from Indiana Discovering Trapped Driver After Scouting Fishing Spots

What was supposed to be a day spent just killing time ended up in a dramatic rescue for two men in Portage, Indiana. Mario Garcia and his son-in-law, Nivardo De La Torre, discovered a man trapped for days in a vehicle wreck while scouting for fishing spots. The incredible rescue took place on a shallow creek beneath an Interstate 94 bridge. The injured motorist was airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities are still working to determine the identity of the driver and the circumstances that led to the crash. The vehicle was out of sight of the interstate, possibly leaving the driver undetected for almost a week. Investigators believe the vehicle rolled several times before finally coming to a stop.
