Look for the rotation in the user interface

The Camera app uses subtle signals to help you understand that your image will be recorded in landscape or picture. Certain text and icons turn to the position that Camera signs up the picture will be recorded as.
Now here’s how you can see the difference: in picture orientation, the camera lens/zoom buttons are oriented to check out this view. In landscape orientation, the labels for the type of capture don’t turn, but all the camera icons do.

Since Camera’s rotation depends on a micro-sensor in your gadget, in some cases it may not register as rapidly as you turn or misses out on the rotation if you turn slowly. Find out what to do if you can’t get the Camera icons to turn.
