LSU Dominates Virginia Tech in Final Four Rematch: Angel Reese Makes Impact with Tigers

It was an incredible night as LSU took down No. 9 Virginia Tech 82-64, with star player Angel Reese back in the lineup. The victory also marked coach Kim Mulkey’s 700th career win in her 813th game on the sideline.

Reese, a standout player and unanimous first-team All-American from last season, had missed four consecutive games, creating some uncertainty. But after the game, she expressed her happiness at being back with the team, stating that she missed this environment a lot.

Her return wasn’t the only highlight of the game. Freshman Mikaylah Williams led the team’s offense with 20 points, while junior guard Aneesah Morrow registered her 56th career double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, along with 2 blocks and 3 steals.

While Reese’s return got much of the spotlight, her LSU teammates made significant contributions as well. With a slow start, the Tigers picked up momentum and emerged victorious in a game that was full of exciting moments.
