Lions Official Slams Penalty on 2-Point Try vs. Cowboys as the ‘Worst Call’ in NFL History

The Detroit Lions are still frustrated by a controversial penalty on a late twolions-boosts-49ers-bid-for-nfc-no-1-seed/” title=”Cowboys' Victory Over Lions Boosts 49ers' Bid for NFC No. 1 Seed”>-point conversion attempt in Saturday’s 20-19 loss to the Dallas Cowboys that Schefter said an official called it the “worst call he had ever seen in a game.”

The game ended dramatically when the Lions were flagged for illegal touching due to the assertion that Decker did not declare himself eligible to an official. The Lions lost 20-19 after two-point conversion failed. Nonetheless, the team pushed forward after the game.

After the game, the Lions were expected to be downgraded for the playoffs. Despite the result, the significance of the match was essential for NFC playoff positioning.
