Landspace’s Exciting Third Launch of Methane-Powered Rocket in China

Get ready for an exciting development in space exploration as Chinese launch start-up Landspace prepares to release its methane-powered rocket next month. The Zhuque 2 (Vermillion Bird 2) rocket will carry satellites and showcase its functional launch abilities.

This upcoming launch follows a year after its initial failure but Landspace has recovered and is ready to show off its capabilities. The 162 feet (49.5 meters) long Zhuque-2 utilizes methane and liquid oxygen for propellant and became the first rocket of its kind to reach orbit, ahead of other well-known companies such as Relativity Space and SpaceX.

Preparations for the launch have been underway at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, using satellite images to determine the ideal location. The company has even developed its own launch pad at Jiuquan to facilitate its unique methalox rocket.

Don’t miss out on the anticipated launch scheduled to take place at 07:30 a.m. Beijing time on Dec. 5 (2330 GMT or 8:30 p.m. EST on Dec. 4). This is an exciting milestone for the industry and marks a significant advancement in Chinese commercial rocket development.
