Smith (37-19 MMA) makes his return for the first time since his split decision victory over Ryan Spann at the August UFC Singapore showdown. That win ended his two-fight losing skid, having previously suffered losses to Johnny Walker and Magomed Ankalaev.
Khalil Rountree Jr. (13-5 MMA) enters the co-headliner tonight with a four-fight winning streak, with his latest being a first-round knockout success over Chris Daukaus this past August. Before that, ‘The War Horse’ scored wins against Dustin Jacoby, Karl Roberson, and Modestas Bukauskas.
UFC Vegas 83 co-main event turned out to be another impressive performance for the rising competitor Khalil Rountree Jr. The War Horse kept the fight standing and seemed to tear apart Antony Smith using his left hand and low kicks.
