Tasked with filling Eddie Van Halen’s shoes is a daunting challenge, but Satch is more than ready for the job. His skills have already been put to the test with a stellar live performance of five Van Halen tracks alongside his new bandmates. Despite a minor slip-up during Mean Street, Satch’s demonstration was a resounding success.
Now, as he embarks on this new Van Halen-centric chapter of his career, Satriani is reminiscing about his very first encounter with the guitar legend that started it all. This meeting took place when Satch was in the studio grappling with a particularly tricky song – a song he was hesitant to share with Eddie.
