Dec. 6 (UPI)– First woman Jill Biden will sign up with the Marine Corps at the White House Wednesday as she hosts a Toys For Tots occasion, part of her Joining Forces Initiative.

The White House stated military households will sign up with the occasion at about 3 p.m. ET.

Signing up with Forces is an effort to support military households, from members to veterans, caretakers and survivors.

Amongst the problems Joining Forces addresses are high joblessness rates amongst military partners, assistance for the more than 2 million kids of active-duty service members as they manage education obstacles and assist for military households with health and wellness.

Toys For Tots is a Marine Corps Reserve program introduced in 1947 that has actually provided 652 million toys to 291 million kids for many years.
