Violence in the West Bank has escalated in the weeks following Hamas’ attack on October 7, causing a devastating war in the Gaza Strip. Israeli forces have killed dozens of Palestinians and arrested hundreds in the West Bank. Jewish West Bank settlers have also stepped up attacks.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that 5 Palestinians were killed in the militant stronghold of Jenin, while 3 others were killed in different parts of the West Bank since Saturday morning. Among those killed, in al-Bireh in the central West Bank, was a teenager, the ministry said.

The armed forces have also said it was investigating the reports of the other incidents.

In the refugee camp, debris was scattered along the streets of the densely populated urban community and the wall of one home had a large hole in it.
