Intermountain Health Hospitals Ranked Among the Best in Maternity Care by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report recognizes 17 Intermountain Health hospitals as top providers for maternity care

The annual ranking of the Best Hospitals for Maternity Care in America for 2024 from U.S. News & World Report has acknowledged 17 Intermountain Health hospitals. The ranking is based on various factors such as newborn complications, Caesarean-section and breastfeeding rates, as well as new federal criteria for “birthing-friendly” practices. These rankings are meant to guide expecting families to the best care available in their area.

“The personalized, expert care our expectant mothers receive from our caregivers contributes to an exceptional patient experience and healthy outcomes for both mom and baby,” said Sean Esplin, MD, senior medical director for Women’s Health and Neonatal Clinical Program at Intermountain Health. “To see so many Intermountain hospitals featured on this list recognizes the high-quality care given by our caregivers every day which is truly making a difference in the health of the communities we serve.”

  • American Fork Hospital in American Fork, Utah.
  • Cassia Regional Hospital in Burley, Idaho.
  • Cedar City Hospital in Cedar City, Utah.
  • Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado.
