Huawei unveils the MateBook D 16 2024 for Europe
Exciting news for tech enthusiasts as Huawei announces the release of the MateBook D 16 2024 in Europe. The 16-inch laptop is packed with powerful features, including an Intel Core i9-13900H processor, a 1200p display, and a 70 Wh battery. The base configuration starts at €999, making this an attractive option for those looking for a high-performance laptop without breaking the bank.
The MateBook D 16 2024 has made its way to Europe within a short time of its initial release in China. In addition to the laptop, Huawei also introduced a PaperMatte Edition of the MatePad Air, all of which has been covered in separate news articles.
Despite being labeled as a ‘2024’ edition, the MateBook D 16 utilizes processors from 2023. The laptop will be available with a range of processor options, including the Core i9-13900H, Core i7-13700H, and Core i5 options down to the Core i5-12450H.
Even though the MateBook D 16 2024 will face new competition with the upcoming Intel Raptor Lake Refresh and Meteor Lake launches, it still packs a punch with its Core i7-13700H and Core i9-13900H configurations. However, it’s worth noting that it lacks a dedicated GPU, relying instead on Intel’s older Iris Xe iGPU solutions. Despite this, all other specifications remain unchanged from its initial release in China, offering a 1200p display with 300 nits peak brightness and a choice between a 56 Wh or 70 Wh battery.
The MateBook D 16 2024 is priced at €999 for the base configuration with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, while the top configuration, including a 1 TB SSD, goes for €1,399. It’s important to note that the laptop won’t be available for order until January 8, with the first shipments scheduled for January 22. For more details, visit Huawei’s website.
