Five Adorable Puppies Saved from Culvert Pipe in South Carolina

What an incredible rescue mission! Firefighters and animal services officers in South Carolina worked together to save 5 puppies who were trapped in a culvert pipe. The puppies were located 30 to 40 feet into the pipe in the Town of Smoaks.

According to Colleton County Fire-Rescue, the mother of the puppies had been receiving food from residents for several weeks, and it was a keen-eyed resident who saw the puppies entering the narrow pipe. The rescue team was provided with PVC pipe, a bucket lid, and rolls of duct tape to aid in the rescue.

With a lot of patience and hard work, the team was able to coax the puppies within 20 feet of the rescuers using their makeshift instrument. They then used a soft-ended hook to carefully lift the puppies out one by one after five hours of dedication.

Thankfully, all 5 puppies were successfully rescued and taken to a local shelter along with their mother. The good news is that they will eventually be available for adoption. What a heartwarming story! Read more to find out about this amazing rescue mission.
