Reports confirm that an investigation is underway after Beyonce’s childhood home in Houston, Texas, caught fire. According to AP News, the incident occurred on Christmas.

The singer’s childhood home, located on the 4200 block of Rosedale Street, caught fire around 2 a.m. The Houston Fire Department quickly arrived within three to five minutes, containing the fire in about 10 minutes, according to Justin Barnes, the Houston Fire Department District Chief.
An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is now underway.
The family residing in the Knowles’ former residence was home at the time of the fire and escaped unharmed, as reported by CNN. Beyoncé’s publicist has reportedly been contacted for comment, but has not yet responded.

Recent reports have revealed that Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland are planning to give back to their Houston roots with a $7.2 million project to create 31 permanent housing units for unhoused individuals.
In addition, Beyoncé and her mother, Tina Knowles, were in Houston to kick off the redevelopment project, as mentioned by Click2Houston. Construction for the 31 units is set to begin in the first quarter of 2024, with the project aiming for completion by the end of the year.
