Alpine F1 Team and Editions Amphora Continue Partnership with Release of New Book
Alpine F1 Team and Editions Amphora have released the 3rd volume of the adventure of the French team in Formula 1 just in time for Christmas shopping. Released on November 23, Alpine F1 Team Inside 3: l’épopée bleue focuses on the new additions this year in Enstone: the new duo of drivers, Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly. The new supervisors who arrived during the summer are also featured, although it’s a shame that the book overlooks (as in previous editions) some of the more negative moments the men of Alpine F1 had to endure, such as the departures of Laurent Rossi and Otmar Szafnauer.
The book is not a chronology of the current season (an easy point to improve and important for fans, even if it would delay the release of the book), although significant events in terms of results are covered in various interviews, including their podium finishes in Monaco and Zandvoort.
What readers will especially appreciate is the behind-the-scenes look at the Enstone chassis factory and the engine factory in Viry-Châtillon. There is also a visit to the workshops in Dieppe and a look at the GP Explorer, an event organized by Squeezie that Alpine is associated with this year. The Rac(H)er program, dedicated to female drivers, is also included.
