The Proton Competition’s Porsche 963 will now feature the iconic black and gold colors, as well as the # 5 design from previous Cadillac models, for the GTP class.
Christian Ried, team principal for Proton Competition, expressed his excitement about the partnership with Mustang Sampling. “We’re thrilled to have acquired the assistance of Mustang Sampling, a dedicated partner with substantial experience in motorsports,” said Ried.
He also highlighted the success of Mustang Sampling Racing in the IMSA SportsCar Championship, expressing confidence in the collaboration. “Our company believes this will be a rewarding collaboration, and Mustang Sampling is an excellent fit for our team,” added Ried.
Proton Competition is aiming for ambitious goals in the upcoming season, with the Porsche 963, and the team believes that the partnership with Mustang Sampling will contribute to their success.

Proton Competition’s new partner, Mustang Sampling, has a strong history in motorsports, most recently sponsoring JDC-Miller MotorSports’ Cadillac DPi as well as achieving significant success with Action Express Racing, including the 2015 IMSA model class title.
While Gianmaria Bruni and Neel Jani are confirmed for Proton Competition’s entry in the Rolex 24 Hours At Daytona, the team is yet to announce a third driver to replace Harry Tincknell.
