LGBTQ+ activism organization Think2Speak has launched an exciting Secret Santa campaign for trans “young people” in the UK. This initiative was kicked off on December 5, in collaboration with trans model and speaker Jude Guaitamacchi, trans artist Mister Samo and Octavian Starr.
According to the Think2Speak website, “All the money raised will be used to fund sending secret Santa cards and gift bundles to trans young people in the UK.”
They have also mentioned that “Gifts are available for young people in the UK age 25 and under.”
To receive a gift, interested individuals need to fill out an application form asking for details like birth year, name, pronouns, address, and email address.
While emphasizing the importance of safety, the website states: “Please do not complete this form on behalf of a young person, unless you have discussed it with them and it is safe for them to receive post at the address given.”
Aside from a donation form for companies/brands looking to contribute gifts for the bundles, it is unclear who will be assembling them and what gifts will be chosen.
The shipping parcels will also be “packaged discreetly,” ensuring the surprise is kept intact and parents remain unaware of the contents.
To support this meaningful campaign, Think2Speak is seeking donations through their Crowdfunder on their website. So far, they have raised a remarkable £9,120 ($11,651) out of their £15,000 ($19,163) target.
