It’s official – E3 is no more. The end of an era.
The official E3 account announced on Twitter that after over 20 years, it’s time to bid farewell to the iconic expo. The post quickly gained over 100,000 likes and 38,000 retweets in just 3 hours.
Even the Entertainment Software Association, the organization behind E3, also confirmed the news on Twitter.
This decision comes after years of the event grappling with cancellations and changes, with major companies like Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft opting out in favor of their own events.
Disappointing, but it seems that the industry has simply moved on from the once-dominant E3.
