Elon Musk has been pushing for freedom of speech since X change and has been fighting the bots to keep Twitter in check. But now, Twitter is swamped with them, and it’s gotten out of hand.
As a mid-tier user like myself, the problem was never as apparent as it is now, but the situation has greatly deteriorated. Twitter is now filled with relentless porn bots stalking users with messages repeated across every tweet. Even after banning dozens of accounts, the same spam bots appear with the same stolen photos.
This has gotten way out of hand, as these porn bots, along with old crypto scam bots and others, are everywhere, and all of Musk’s moves have made no real difference in curbing them. The requirement to pay a small fee as an unverified account to join is not an effective deterrent for these spam bots. It seems they are here to stay.
