Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made a dramatic statement about waste in San Francisco after the Republican revealed a map of reported waste in the city during his prime-time Fox News dispute versus California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday.
The GOP candidate brought out the map as the Democratic governor spoke about homelessness in America and the need for reform of California’s behavioral health system.
“Ron has actually the worst mental health system in America, forgive me, beyond Mississippi and Texas. Therefore, with all due regard of being lectured on some of these subjects, Ron DeSantis is not the one I’m going to be listening to,” stated Newsom before the Florida governor grabbed a paper in his suit sports jacket.
“This is a map of San Francisco,” responded DeSantis as he showed a map of reported “human waste” in the California city.
The map, which got a laugh out of Newsom, seems one on OpenTheBooks.comwhich outlined circumstances of human waste reported in San Francisco from 2011 to 2019.
DeSantis’ concerns regarding waste aren’t new in blocking his mind.
He previously claimed to see people “defecating on the sidewalk during a visit to San Francisco and experienced waste as he criticized the “collapsed” city’s “leftist politics” in a campaign video earlier this year.
San Francisco Mayor London Breed (D) later pushed back at DeSantis’ gripes, calling his complaints “the oldest playbook in politics to get attention“
Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany considered DeSantis’ map another strong and powerful moment from the dispute, although many critics on X (previously Twitter) mocked the Florida governor for his “print out of poops“
Republicans – they might not have any ideas, they might not have the ability to lead, they might not have the ability to govern, they might not be serious humans but they are always ready with a waste program for the cameras

Ron DeSantis, is getting shamed and some synapse fired in his brain and he decided that the solution was to hold up a waste map.

I believe the waste map was just chocolate pudding spread on a notepad. I can’t prove it.
