Bobby Green’s Alleged Attack by Arman Tsarukyan and Team at UFC Austin Hotel

UFC lightweight vet Bobby Green dropped a bombshell on Wednesday, claiming that he was attacked by UFC Austin headliner Arman Tsarukyan and Tsarukyan’s team at the event’s host hotel.

Green took to his Instagram to share videos of a confrontation with a group of men, with one appearing to be Tsarukyan, in a hotel lobby. He later tagged Tsarukuyan in a video to explain his side of the story, admitting to punching a man he believed was with Tsarukuyan.

In the video, Green said, “Hey, I won’t be starting nothing with nobody, but if you start that s*** with me, I’m definitely gonna finish it. It’s just starting, might go to jail tonight. F*** around playing with me.

He went on to say, “So this b******* ran up on me and s*** trying to start that s***. He didn’t know I was gonna finish s***. I socked one of his homies. Stop playing with me, bro.

Green also asked for help identifying the man in the video, claiming he was acting super tough until security arrived. He demanded, “As soon as I ran into the again with my n*****, then he was, ‘Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.’ You started this s*** and then as soon as security come and all that s***, now you wanna act tough again.”

A UFC official acknowledged a request for comment and said the promotion is looking into the matter. Green’s reps at Iridium Sports Agency later released a statement on the incident.

“During a media interview earlier today, Iridium Sports Agency client Bobby Green was unprovokingly accosted and attacked by a member of Arman Tsarukyan’s team at the UFC host hotel. Bobby tried to avoid the conflict, but he was put in a position where he had to defend himself and his coach from the larger, aggressive group.”

Tsarukyan headlines Saturday’s UFC Austin opposite Beneil Dariush, while Green is scheduled to face Jalin Turner in the co-main event at Moody Center in Austin.

Initially, Green was scheduled to face Dan Hooker before the New Zealand fighter was forced out with a broken arm. Turner was slotted to replace Hooker among a flurry of volunteers for the spot.

Green made headlines earlier this month when he shot down a fight with Tsarukyan, whom he called “a terrible f*cking fighter” and “boring.”

Tsarukyan currently is on a two-fight winning streak and is 7-2 overall in the UFC, earning him the No. 10 spot on the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, while Green stands tied at No. 13 with Turner.
