Ryobi and Milwaukee, despite catering to different audiences, are both owned by TTi, a Hong Kong-based company. What is the surprising truth about their manufacturing? Are Ryobi and Milwaukee power tools made in the same factory? The answer is not straightforward as TTi operates factories in several different countries, which includes the United States, China, Mexico, and Vietnam.

According to a presentation given to investors, the majority of TTi’s factories are in China, occupying 52% of the company’s manufacturing footprint. But the story doesn’t end there. TTi’s corporate website also highlights the company’s widespread global operations, indicating that 48% of manufacturing occurs outside China.

Essentially, there is some crossover, but it’s a common practice for companies with global manufacturing facilities.
