Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has highlighted the value of promoting regional brand names as a vital method for economic growth, job creation, and the development of Nigeria as a whole.
Soludo made the focus during his visit to Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) factory in Nnewi, where he urged Nigerians to reduce their reliance on foreign products and embrace indigenous brands.
“Stepping into the industrious heart of Nnewi, navigating the bustling lines of the Innoson Manufacturing Plant, I was filled with wonder at the innovation, resilience, and forward-thinking that have become synonymous with this proudly Nigerian brand,” Soludo said.
Soludo is one of two State Governors in Nigeria that uses Innoson-branded IVM G80 SUV as official vehicle, a pledge he made during his Governorship campaign.
“I made a pronouncement during my campaign that if elected as your Governor, I would make Innoson vehicles my official mode of transportation. Today, I declare that commitment. I am ready to serve as the Chief Marketing Officer for any indigenous manufacturer.”
Throughout the visit, Governor Soludo lauded Innoson Vehicles for its unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s economic transformation and job creation through the expansion of its factory in Nnewi.
Governor Soludo also recognized that by supporting local businesses, especially in rural areas, traditional craftsmanship and culture can be preserved, fostering a sense of national pride and promoting sustainable development.
Throughout the visit, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, the CEO of Innoson Vehicles, showcased Innoson’s dedication to producing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) vehicles, highlighting their commitment to eco-friendly solutions.
