Gamers from all corners of the Fortnite community were taken by surprise when the game’s Cash Cups were announced for July 5 instead of July 6, pointing to a shift in the update schedule.

Thanks to a change in the Cash Cup schedule, it’s apparent that the v21.20 update will now be released on July 6, providing players with a clearer picture of what’s to come.

I completely missed this, but a few days ago Fortnite changed Cash Cup dates from July 6 to July 5 due to “expected game updates around the same time”

Basically confirms that the update will drop on July 6.
