Get ready for an exciting event! The Xterra European Championship is headed to Prachatice, Czech Republic on Aug. 9, 2024. This marks a big change from this year’s event in Belgium, but it’s all part of Xterra’s goal to give different areas a chance to shine.
Over the years, the European Championships have been held in several countries, including Germany, Denmark, England, Italy, Austria, Belgium, and the Czech Republic. Xterra Czech has a rich history, with more than twenty years of experience hosting events. The European Championship features 1,500 meters of swimming, 33 kilometers of mountain biking, and 10 kilometers of running.
The Mayor of Prachatice, Jan Bauer, is thrilled for the upcoming event. “Xterra Czech isn’t just a race; it’s a community builder, a boost for our businesses, and an enhancement to our cultural fabric,” he said. “Hosting the European Championship is a great honor for us, and we can’t wait to welcome athletes and visitors from all over the world to experience the unique charm of Prachatice.”
