Report: Archie’s Godfather Allegedly Snubs Prince Harry

Prince Harry caught up in wedding drama as close royal friend snubs him

Rumors are swirling in London about wedding invitations to a highly anticipated society event next year. Reports claim that Prince Harry has been snubbed by a close royal household pal, while the Prince and Princess of Wales have happily accepted their invitations.

The seventh duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, is a godson of King Charles III and a very wealthy man, inheriting an estimated ₤ 9 billion ($11 billion) at the age of 25. Grosvenor is a godfather to both Prince George and Prince Archie, the sons of Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Harry and Meghan Markle, respectively.

Grosvenor’s upcoming wedding to Olivia Henson, set to take place in June 2024, is expected to be one of the grandest society events of the year, but speculation is rife that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not be in attendance.

The reason behind the snub seems to be related to the ongoing rift between Harry and William, with fears that the attention on the royal family drama would overshadow the joyous occasion. Despite this, the rest of the royal family, including William, Kate, Charles, and Queen Camilla, are expected to attend.

Analyst Richard Fitzwilliams weighed in on the matter, describing the decision as fair given the recent media storm caused by a new book. The book, by a biographer with links to Meghan and Harry, has revealed new details about the alleged “royal racism” controversy, which may have influenced Grosvenor’s decision.

This controversy is linked to the release of Omid Scobie’s Endgame book and a Dutch translation, which appeared to reveal the names of the two royals involved in discussions about the skin color of Harry and Meghan’s future children. Scobie has claimed that he did not include these names in his original submission.
