JLR has significantly enhanced security updates for 65,000 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured between 2018 and 2022.
Range Rover models have become a prime target for thieves in the UK due to their value and keyless technology.
The latest security updates on the newest generation Range Rover have reduced thefts of models built from 2018 to 2022 by 40%.
Statistics show that since January 2022, only 0.07% of new Range Rovers and Range Rover Sports on the road have been stolen.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) UK has invested ₤ 10 million ($12.5 million) since September 2022 to enhance the security of 65,000 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured between 2018 and 2022, the company stated in a declaration.
Following the increase in theft of Range Rover models due to their value and keyless technology, JLR spearheaded the development of Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) protection to counter the ‘relay attack’ by criminals.
According to JLR, vehicles produced from 2022 onwards are built on its “most advanced electrical architecture, meaning they have the latest security features and are proving to be resistant to theft.”
