Nigerian Eagle (NG Eagle) Soars with the Maiden Commercial Flight From Abuja To Lagos

Experience the excitement as The Nigerian Eagle, known as NG Eagle, operated its first-ever commercial flight from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja to the Murtala Muhammadu Airport in Lagos on Sunday, December 10th.
The inaugural one-hour and fifteen-minute service between Abuja and Lagos was operated by an Airbus A320, demonstrating NG Eagle’s commitment to enhanced connectivity and convenience for travelers.
Ahead of the inaugural service, Capt. Dare, managing director at NG Eagle, expressed the airline’s meticulous preparations to provide exceptional service to all passengers.
Established in 2019 by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), NG Eagle set out with the initial goal of commencing passenger flights in 2021.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday, December 11th, unveiled a fleet of 107 gas and electric-powered buses and taxis as part of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s efforts to transform public transportation in Borno State amid the withdrawal of fuel subsidies by the Federal Government.
The conversion of the 107 vehicles to use electricity and gas aims to provide low-cost transportation for citizens and to improve public transportation infrastructure in Borno State.
Zulum’s transport scheme has significantly reduced transportation costs across Maiduguri, with NG Eagle’s buses charging only N50 per route, while private transport means, such as Keke Napep, charge about N150 per route.
