Exciting News! Stagwell’s Marketing Cloud division has appointed its first chief executive, Elspeth Rollert, as the unit continues to expand offerings and revenue, Digiday has learned.
Over the years, the network of agencies has invested millions in innovation and technological developments, from augmented reality and generative AI to acquisitions. And it seems to be paying off: With revenue increasing by 7% and net revenue by 20%, the unit for the first time reported its financial results in Stagwell’s Q3 earnings.
Rollert, who previously served as the global head of partnership marketing at Uber and held other roles at Microsoft and IBM before being CMO of SMC in February 2022, discussed how innovation is a driver of culture at Stagwell.
This interview has been edited and condensed for clarity.
Rollert also shared about building innovation from within through the annual “Shark Tank”-style internal competition and the product champions program. She discussed plans and strategies as the company continues to grow and establish itself in AI with domain expertise across its network.
